How do I access Aviva Fundraising for my charity?

How do I access Aviva Fundraising for my charity?

To access Aviva Fundraising for your charity, you'll need to set up a simple charity profile on Crowdfunder. Once your profile is approved and live, your charity profile will appear on the Communities Fund site where Aviva employees will be able to set up a fundraiser and start raising funds directly for your organisation.

💡 Note: Charity Profiles are currently available only to charities registered with:

  • The Charity Commission (including Northern Ireland)

  • The Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR)

What Is a Charity Profile Page?

Your Charity Profile works like a user profile, but for your charity. With it, you can:

  • Accept donations any time

  • Allow supporters to fundraise on your behalf

  • Collect monthly recurring donations

  • Launch specific fundraising projects or prize draws

🎉 No platform fees! While transaction processing fees still apply, Crowdfunder doesn’t charge a platform fee for Charity Profiles.
[See our fees page for full details.]

How to Set Up a Charity Profile Page

  1. Visit our Charities page and click “Add your charity”

  2. Search for your charity—if you see it listed, click to select it

  3. If it’s not listed, enter your charity name and registration number to begin

💡 If your charity details appear, they may have been imported from a past partnership with the Charities Trust. This does not mean someone has already set up a profile for your organisation.

What You’ll Need

To complete your Charity Profile setup, you’ll need:

  • A trustee or authorised representative to verify their identity

  • Your charity’s bank account details for verification

  • A compelling profile: Upload your logo, story, images or video to encourage support

Please allow up to 5 working days for verification.

Your financial information will be checked by our payment provider, and one of our team will manually review your charity registration and documentation to confirm you're authorised to manage the profile.

Gift Aid & Financials

  • You can collect Gift Aid declarations on donations through your profile or projects

  • Crowdfunder does not claim Gift Aid on your behalf—unless you choose to use Swiftaid

  • If you use Swiftaid, they can manage the Gift Aid process and send funds to you directly

  • Otherwise, you’ll need to claim Gift Aid from HMRC after your project closes
