This guide explains how to complete the People Section on your wallet

Setting up the partner business wallet

To get your partner business wallet verified, you'll need to provide personal details for each individual, including their legal name, date of birth, and home address. Our payment provider will attempt to verify these details automatically. If this isn't possible, you'll be asked to upload documents like a government-issued photo ID and a recent proof of address.


Understanding the roles

Your business structure on Companies House will determine who you need to add. Here are the definitions for each role:

  • Representative: This is the primary person authorised to act on behalf of your business. This individual must also be either an Owner or an Executive. Your wallet must have one Representative.

  • Owner: An individual with 25% or more of the shares or voting rights in the business. You can find these individuals listed under the 'Persons of significant control' section on your Companies House file.

  • Executive: A senior person responsible for managing and directing the business as listed on Companies House. This could be someone with the power to appoint or remove directors, or a senior manager like a CEO, CFO, COO, or Managing Director.

  • Director: An individual listed as an Active director in the 'Officer' section on your Companies House file.


Who you need to add

As a minimum, your business must have one Representative and one active Director. One person can often fill both of these roles.

  1. Add the Representative first. This person must be an Owner or an Executive.

  2. Add all Owners. If your business has individuals who own 25% or more, you must add each of them.

  3. Add all Directors. You must add all persons who are listed as active Directors on Companies House.

Once you have added all the required people please click the button to submit the details.


Required documents

Our payment provider will first try to verify your business and the people you add using the details you provide. If automatic verification is not possible, you will be prompted in the wallet to upload the following:

  • Identity Document: A valid photo ID (e.g., passport, driving licence)

  • Address Document: A recent utility bill or bank statement for each person added.

  • Business Document: An official registration document from Companies House. You can download this from your file on their website.


What happens next?

Once you submit all the details, they will be sent to our payment provider for review, which can take 48 hours. If any more information is needed, we will email you. You can check the status and see any requests by logging in and navigating to My Funds > Fund Details > Wallet.
