How payouts work on Crowdfunder
You’re in control of when payouts happen for your project. You can select to receive weekly payouts when setting up your project, or in one lump sum after your project closes. Alternatively, you can select to enable payouts later, and you need to trigger them yourself from your dashboard after your project goes live.
⚠️ If you have a charity profile, you will control your payout frequency for all of the projects and fundraisers that sit under the profile from the profile dashboard. You can choose weekly or monthly payouts as explained below.
Choosing when you get paid
You can choose weekly or monthly payouts.
You can also choose a payout day (for example, Monday or Friday).
That day is when Crowdfunder starts the payout- it’s not the day the money arrives.
Money usually reaches your bank 2–3 working days later, but it can take up to 7 working days because of bank processing times and bank holidays.
👉 Example: If you trigger a payout on Friday, the money usually arrives on Monday or Tuesday.
The 7-day clearing period
Every pledge must wait 7 days before it can be paid out.
Only pledges that have finished clearing are included in a payout.
Any pledges still clearing will be paid in your next payout automatically.
How to trigger a payout
To move cleared funds to your bank:
Go to the Payout tab in your Project Dashboard.
Check that payouts are available to start.
Click "start payouts".
Select a payout day to start the transfer.
Pausing payouts
You can pause payouts for up to 30 days.
During this time, no new payouts will start, but your money is safely held.
You can turn payouts back on anytime from your dashboard.
Tips to get your money faster
Choose the same day to get a payout immediately (e.g., today is Wednesday, select Wednesday as the payout day)
Switch to monthly payouts if weekly ones feel too frequent.
If money takes longer than 7 working days to arrive, contact our support team.
Will I get all my money in one go?
Not always. If some pledges are still in the 7-day clearing period, they’ll come through later.
If you want one larger payment and you didn't originally choose this option, wait until all pledges have cleared (are over 7 days old) before triggering a payout.
