Passport to Investment is a new programme hosted by Crowdfunder which allows organisations to create a Financial Passport that can be shared easily with potential investors.
There's guidance available if you need a hand creating your Financial Passport.
Once completed, you'll be able to view and share your financial passport with social investors.
Steps to share your Financial Passport
1. After completing your Financial Passport, you'll receive an email to the same email address you used to create your project on Crowdfunder. The email will have the subject 'Application Submitted'.
When you open this email, you'll see a few details such as your project name and the date you submitted your application for Passport to Investment. Beneath that, there's a button labelled View Financial Passport.
Clicking this will take you to a page on Crowdfunder where you can download your Financial Passport.
2. On the right of this page there's an option labelled Download →, under the Actions section.
3. Your download will then begin. If it doesn't begin downloading automatically, you can also click the link to download manually.
Open the downloaded file to view your Financial Passport.
4. You can then choose to send this PDF of your Financial Passport to any interested social investors who request to see a copy. You can simply attach the file to an email to share it.
Receiving a request to view your Passport to Investment
If you have completed your Financial Passport, there will be an additional option for people to choose from when using to Contact project from your project page.
If someone chooses this option, you will receive an email to the same email address you used to create your project on Crowdfunder. The email will have the subject 'You have a new message about your project'.
When you open this email, you'll see the Topic will be stated as 'I would like to view your Passport to Investment'.
You'll also see a few details such as the name and email address of the person who has requested to view your Financial Passport, along with any message they have included.
You can then choose to send a PDF of your Financial Passport to any social investors who request to see a copy. You can simply attach the file to an email to share it.
