The amount of funding show on your project page is the total amount donated by your supporters, this will not be the same amount that appears in your bank account due to the fees taken by Crowdfunder for processing the card payments (transaction fees) or for using the platform (Platform fees).

Depending on the type of project there are different fee structures which can be viewed on our fees page.

Below are examples of the fee calculations.

Fee structure: Transaction Fee: 1.9% + 20p (per pledge) + VAT on UK/EU cards / 3.25% + 25p (per pledge) + VAT on non-EEA cards

If someone pledges £100 on a UK card
£1.90 + £0.20 (transaction fee) = £2.10 plus vat at 20% =£ 0.42
Total fees = £2.52
Amount for project = £97.48

If someone pledges £10 on a UK card
£0.19 + £0.20 (transaction fee) = £0.39 plus vat at 20% =£ 0.08
Total fees =£0.47
Amount for project = £9.53

Fee structure: Crowdfunder Fee: 5% + VAT Transaction Fee: 2.4% + 20p + VAT on UK/EU card 3.25% + 25p + VAT on non-EEA cards

If someone pledges £100 on a UK card
£5 (platform fee) £2.40 + £0.20 (transaction fee) = £7.60 plus vat at 20% =£ 1.52
Total fees = £9.12
Amount for project = 90.88

If someone pledges £10 on a UK card £0.50 (platform fee) £0.24 + £0.20 (transaction fee) = £0.94 plus vat at 20% =£ 0.19
Total fees =£1.13
Amount for project = £8.87

If someone pledges £1 on a UK card £0.05 (platform fee) £0.03 + £0.20 (transaction fee) = £0.28 plus vat at 20% = £0.06
Total fees =£0.34
Amount for project = 66 pence
