Choosing the correct wallet type depends on how your organisation is registered. Please read this guide carefully to avoid delays—if you choose the wrong entity, we’ll need to reset your wallet for you.
🧾 Choosing the Correct Wallet Type
Choose this if you are:
A Limited Company
A Registered Charity or entity WITH a Companies House registration
A CIC (Community Interest Company)
A Community Benefit Society or Co-operative registered with the FCA

❗ If your Companies House listing says "Refer to the Charity Commission", you are not classed as a business.
Choose this if you are:
A Registered Charity or organisation without a Companies House registration
A CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation)
Registered with OSCR or the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland
Constituted Organisation wallet
Choose this if you are:
Not registered with the Charity Commission, FCA, or Companies House
A constituted group, sports club, or council
A church without an individual governing document (please contact us)
A school (please refer to special guidance for schools)
Choose this if:
You are self-employed and registered with HMRC
You do not have a Companies House registration

Individual Wallet
Choose this if:
You are raising funds personally and are not registered as a business, charity, or organisation

❓ My documents keep failing—what should I do?
We cannot view your documents, as they go directly to our payment provider. If you're having repeated issues:
Stop uploading them.
Email us at [email protected] with all documents attached.
We’ll review them and ensure they're formatted correctly and meet the provider's requirements.
❓ Can you tell me why my documents failed?
We may be able to access detailed error messages from our provider’s system. The best course of action is to email your documents to [email protected] for personalised support.
❓ Have I chosen the right entity type?
If you are listed on Companies House, you must choose a Business Wallet, even if you're also a charity.
If you're listed on Companies House but it says "Externally Registered" with the Charity Commission, you’ll need a Charity Wallet.
❓ I’ve selected the wrong wallet type. Can it be changed?
Yes! Just email [email protected], and we’ll reset your wallet so you can start over.
❓ My document won’t upload—what can I do?
The max file size is 7MB. If your file is too large:
Ensure the file is a scan, photo, or PDF download (no screenshots)
❓ How long does document verification take?
Verification typically takes 1–2 working days.
If your documents are not accepted, you’ll get an email.
Log in to your wallet for more details on what needs to be fixed.
❓ When and how do I provide my bank details?
Once your documents are approved, you’ll be prompted to:
Enter your bank account details
Upload a bank statement
Ensure all details match exactly with your uploaded bank document:

❓ How long do I have to set up my wallet?
You have 3 months from your project’s close date to complete wallet setup and verification.
❓ Do I need more than one wallet if I’ve received funding from multiple partners?
Nope!
Each project only requires one wallet, even if you're receiving funds from more than one partner.
