What's the difference between a donation and a pledge for a reward?
What's the difference between a donation and a pledge for a reward?

Why can't I get a reward for my donation?

Updated over a year ago

A donation is a sum of money given in support of a project.

A pledge is a sum of money given in return for a reward offered by the project.

Can I swap my donation for a reward?

Yes! If the project has more than 24 hours to go before it closes, you can claim a reward up to the value of your donation instead. Simply follow this guide to select your desired reward.

When will I get my reward?

Each reward has an estimated delivery date, which is visible above the 'select reward' button on the project page. Here's what to do if you haven't received your reward after this date.

What happens if the project I supported closes without meeting its target?

If the project is set to 'All or nothing' and doesn't reach its target, the donations or pledges will be refunded to the supporters and rewards will not be delivered.

If the project is set to 'flexible funding', the project creator will receive the funds pledged or donated, and supporters will receive their rewards by the estimated fulfilment date (unless the project owner has stated otherwise).
