Who can use Crowdfunder?

What do I need before I can start crowdfunding?

Before you start raising money on Crowdfunder, please check that you meet the following requirements.

1. You are 18 years of age or older


Individuals under 18 years of age are not permitted to create or run projects independently. A parent or legal guardian must create the account and manage the project on their behalf. This adult must also supervise the minor's use of the platform, verify their own identity, provide bank account information, and assume full responsibility for all aspects of the project, as detailed in our terms of use.

2. You have a UK bank account that is registered to a UK address

Funds raised will need to be paid out to a UK bank account that is registered to a UK address.

3. You have a form of government-issued photo ID

You'll need to provide one of these accepted identity documents:

  • Passport

  • UK-issued photo driving licence

  • Biometric residence permit (BRP)

  • Citizen Card

You will not be able to run Restricted Business projects or projects linked directly or indirectly with jurisdictions our third party payment provider has deemed high risk.
