How long can my project run for?

And will it remain on Crowdfunder after it's closed?

Updated over a week ago

We recommend a maximum project length of 8 weeks or 56 days, however we also believe that 4 to 5 weeks is the ideal length of time to keep your supporters engaged with your campaign. If your project runs for too long, the more challenging it becomes to maintain momentum.

Remember that there's usually a spike in activity at the beginning and end of your project. The shorter the period of time between these start and end points, the easier it is for you to create a sense of urgency and excitement โ€” and also to raise funds!

When choosing your launch date, make sure you consider any major calendar events that might be coming up, such as bank holidays or school holidays. You might be able to harness these to build more supporter interest, but also be aware that these might distract backers from your campaign.

Finally, when selecting the time of day you wish to launch, keep in mind that your project will end at the same time of day on your closing date. It helps if you choose a time that gives you a chance to give your project a final push.

How long does my project remain on Crowdfunder after it's closed?

We never remove projects from the Crowdfunder platform. They remain accessible and visible to the public for future reference and transparency. If you want to remove your project from our site, you can request this by getting in touch via our contact form:

PLEASE NOTE: deleting your Crowdfunder account will NOT delete your project.
