Organisations on behalf of which Volunteering Causes are submitted to the Fund must:

  • be a not-for-profit organisation;

  • deliver community benefit;

  • be located in the UK;

  • if the Organisation supports children or vulnerable people, have a safeguarding policy;

Power tools and working with you people and/or vulnerable adults

If any of your current or future volunteering opportunities associated with your volunteering project involve using power tools and/or machinery or involve young people and/or vulnerable adults you will be required to upload your Power Tools risk assessment and/or you young people and/or vulnerable adults risk assessment document and young people and/or vulnerable adults safeguarding policy with your application.

You will also be required to provide the following documents if your organisation is accepted to recruit Aviva volunteers.

Employers liability

You will be required to provide proof of valid insurance(s) ahead of volunteering commencing.

Public liability

You will be required to provide proof of valid insurance(s) ahead of volunteering commencing.

Risk assessment

All current and future opportunities associated with this project have a risk assessment in place.
