Once you've made an initial donation to a project that has monthly donations enabled, you'll have the option to add one to show your ongoing support.
You'll be asked how much you'd like to give each month. This can include a tip if you'd like to add one.
If you do not want to add a tip to your pledge, you can set the amount to zero (£0) by choosing "Other amount".
Click "Set up monthly donations" to confirm.
Your first monthly payment will be taken on the same date next month, using the card details from your initial donation.
Please note: monthly donations are only available for card payments. If you paid using Pay By Bank, this option won't appear.
If you are donating to a charity that has a Charity Profile set up on Crowdfunder (you will be able to see this by the different format of their page as shown in the screenshot below), you can set up a monthly donation directly without making an initial donation first. Just select monthly on their Charity Profile page and complete the checkout.
To manage your regular donations, follow the instructions on your confirmation email, or head to the 'My regular donations' section of your profile.
Additionally, if you're unsure whether a donation is one-time or recurring, you can check if donations are active under 'My regular donations'. If you have set up a one-off donation, it won’t appear in this section.
To edit your regular donations, click on 'Manage regular donation'. Here, you will be able to edit the payment amount, the tip, and your payment card details. You can also see when your next payment is due to be processed, and you can pause or cancel the payment if needed.
If you wish to transition from a regular donation to a one-time donation, first cancel the regular donation, and then add a new one-time pledge to the project.
You can cancel your donation right up until the payment is processed, and we will send an email 3 days before a regular donation is debited from your account.
